Winter is difficult, and working outside is much more difficult, but those who do both must deal with issues such as:
- Catching a chill or, in the worst-case scenario, trench foot or frostbite
- The cold has numbed or even frozen (in some extreme cases) the feet.
- Constantly stressed as a result of the cold, which has hampered productivity. (I mean, you can't think... it's paralyzing.)
In other words, wearing the proper winter work boots is critical because if you don't, you might become severely ill, hurt, or simply fail at your job.
So, to assist you in dealing with this, I wrote this post. I hope it proves useful.
Winter's top 6 work boots for cold weather
Given these concerns, I searched for and reviewed 6 work boots that fully address these issues, allowing you to work comfortably in the cold.
1) Winter Timberland PRO Direct Attach 8′′ Insulated Work Boots
2) Winter Timberland Pro Boondock Insulated Work Boots
3) Winter Danner Vicious Insulated Work Boots
1) Winter Timberland PRO Direct Attach 8′′ Insulated Work Boots
I hate getting my feet wet in the winter, which is why I was drawn to the Timberland PRO Direct Attach work boots' seam-sealed waterproof leather uppers and 400 grams of insulation content.
Furthermore, the oil-resistant and non-marking rubber lug outsoles gave me the courage to walk on any surface without fear of slipping and falling on the cold, hard concrete.
Having insulated work boots with proper breathability is the perfect way to stop getting your feet wet and cold in the winter.
2) Winter Timberland Pro Boondock Insulated Work Boots
These Timberland boots were ideal for the job because they have a mesh lining that kept my feet warm and dry during my testing period.
Working outdoors in the cold winter for long periods without proper footwear is the worst.
Fortunately, the 600gr of insulation material in these Timberland Pro Boondock work boots kept my feet warm and dry during the day.
When working in the cold, a carbon safety toe work boot is the way to go. What is the reason for this? That a steel-toed boot would pass the impact directly to your feet.
3) Winter Danner Vicious Insulated Work Boots
The worst part is the possibility of watching your toes slowly freeze.
This is why I prefer work boots with 400gr of Ultra Insulation, such as these Danner Vicious boots, which kept my feet warm and dry during their testing period in the harsh winter season.
Furthermore, the boots included composite safety toes, which are ideal for the winter because they not only cover your toes but also do not easily transfer heat.
Another great feature of these Danner Vicious work boots is that they have a waterproofing and breathable membrane, which ensures that your feet stay dry and odor-free at all times.
When you're walking around with heavy tools strewn around on different surfaces, getting the assurance that you're well secured is important.
This is why I liked the composite safety toes that came with these work boots because they covered my toes without adding too much bulk to the boots.
Finally, the boots came with cushioned insoles that did a good job of protecting my feet on rough surfaces.
